rabbit hunting around Ulster county NY
« on: December 29, 2007, 10:02:00 AM »
Hello , i live Boiceville 15 min from Kingston and would like to know if there Trad gang members living around me doing some bunny hunting ,willing to share some places where to hunt or taking me with you for a hunt , what i would prefer. That way i can meet and learn from peoples from trad archery . Or doing some stumps shooting and having fun .  (Working my english because i'm French) .
I asked around me , but when i say hunting rabbits with a trad bow , i just get big smiles for answers and don't know why ?... LOL ! .
 Thanks all .
   Eric .

Jamie does have bunnies, maybe not as many as my places but he can hold his own. We went today and saw at least 30-35. Shawn

So did I Curt, until I got a call from Damon at 2:3o.
Eric, when hunting bunnies, we use judos, blunts, nutters.....basically everything but a broadhead(for saftey reasons). Any arrow you use will work, but be mindful that some will not be found or if found, impossible to get to. Most of the kill shots I have seen have been on sitting bunnies, where you basically have to thread the arrow through a tiny opening. Shots at running bunnies do occur, but I have only connected on one of those...it does make for a lot of fun all around.
