ALLmeter digital dial indicator
« on: December 06, 2023, 05:43:32 PM »
I believe this is the meter used in Rob's spine tester.  It could also be used to test  shafts for straightness. They claim it is ideal for 3d printer, lath, workshop and woodworking. For bow building it has many applications including setting up forms, checking band saw and table saw blades. Here is a link that includes specifications, etc.

I had looked at a number of different dial indicators for use in a shaft/arrow spine tester and the one that I found best is this ALLmeter one  ...

No matter what indicator used, the indicator spring needs to be removed so that the plunger is free moving (you can see that in my DIY Spine Meter thread) and you want the plunger head to be large and blunt in order to best fit the shaft/arrow, so the plunger tip is unscrewed, removed.
