so nobody wanted to look up their local PSE dealer ? They are very light, very slick on the inside and have quiet rubber caps on both ends.I've given away dozens of these things from my shop, i'm sure your nearest could get you at least one for free but if you'd rather pay eight or ten dollars or use something heavier or not waterproof or less durable then .... ?

Joel,

I'm checking.  Got two archery shops locally, but I'm not sure which one (if either) carries PSE.

I'm definitely a student of Van's School for Frugal Archers -- free is always better.

Go to Office Depot and get a drawing tube it is adjustable from 24" to 36" and it has a shoulder strap on it.  I think they run around $8.00.  The engineeers here use them when they goto the site.  I'll see if I can get a picture of mine.  But here is one like it alittle bit more money.

I recently bought a 24" map tube at mytopo.com for 4.95. I think they have other sizes as well and seem reasonably priced.

Joel,

While some members can go to the local shop...I am kind of limited.  Tomorrow, I'm going to the glass shop my friend owns...they may have some plastic tubes for me.  After that I'll be in Georgia and I'll look around there.  I'm taking everything that everyone is saying and working with it.  I've already gone on a plastic website and asked for two samples of different tubes.  Don't know if I'll get them, but I'm not paying for them either way.

I made one out of black plastic pipe that you can purchase at Lowes or Home Depot. I used the 3" pipe and drew my opening out in pencil and then used a jig saw to cut it out then sanded the edges. I bought some camo paints at Wal-mart and did a mossy oak type pattern. Very durable and you can make several out of a 10' tube.

Well I got a tube from the glass shop my friend owns...its 36" long and 3" in diameter.  I'm going to work on it this week while I'm in Georgia.  Hopefully I won't screw things up.

Paul, on mine I took the 36 inch tube and cut it in half at 24 inches, than cut a 2in piece out of the leftover (top cap). take the two inch piece and split it like a collar and glue 1in of it to the top piece. Now you can take the top on and off to load arrows from the top if you want. Now cap both ends as James does and cut your slot in the side. I used soft foam in the cap to keep arrows from rattling, but soft enough to lift arrows out of your slot when you need one.

Here's a couple I made years ago from James' instructions right after he put them on the web (I think he has them on his website   :D  ).  I used them extensively deer hunting and they are great.  The other quiver is one I made for a fellow Tradganger last year.  I got my tubes from Tap Plastics online.  They are more expensive, but they are the crushproof mailer tubes which I used before and thought they were well worth the extra $$.
