Making a Glass Bow Instructions
« on: January 02, 2008, 01:05:00 PM »
I am currently working on my first wood bow, and know there are tons of wood bow making books out there, but what about glass bow making? Does anyone have a suggestion for a book about glass bow making? Thanks.

Jack Harrison's book "Traditional Bowyer,More Unnecessary Fun" is very good.Available at Three Rivers Archery and he is on the sponsor list here in Trad gang.Very detailed and complete discussions of all phases of bowbuilding with glass and wood.I bought it and read it cover to cover and refer back to it all the time.

Here's a web page:
 http://www.geocities.com/salampsio/glass1.htm
and there are several build alongs in the how to and build along sections here on trad gang.  Periodically there are build alongs that don't get catalogued as well.  Also try stickbow dot com.

Thanks for the replies, I will look into both the books and web pages. First thing first, putting together my first set of a dozen arrows this weekend.
