Braintanned Otter quiver
« on: May 15, 2012, 04:36:00 PM »
This is a plains style Otter quiver made with a brain tanned and smoked Otter hide. All feet and claws intact. It can be carried on either side or the back. Brain tan and smoked buckskin fringe. Very old padre trade beads and salmon vertabrae collar.
Stiffing stick made of Osage Orange, also known as bodark and hedge, the most prized wood the Native Americans used for making bows. I have covered the stiffing stick with a real venomous Coral Snake skin and a bit or turquoise inlayed carving. Stiffing stick attaches with deer rawhide at three places.
Otter mouth sewn with a buckskin filler with natural flax thread. Eyes also sewn with same thread and feature old chevron "watermelon" beads.
This is a fully functional quiver that is very comfortable and efficient in use. Please contact me with any questions.
  $375.00
