I heard back from "McDave" and this is what he had to say about his mountain lite knife.
"Just got back from a backpacking trip in the Sierras, where this was the only knife I brought. Last night was the best fishing on the trip, and I cleaned 7 trout in about 15 minutes. I hold the scabbard around my neck with a lanyard while I fish, like a neck knife. I'm thinking about putting a second lanyard through one of the holes in the knife handle so it won't be able to fall into the water while I'm using it." McDave
