Way to go Jason!!! Is this something we may be reading about in TBM in the future? I hope so! I have always enjoyed your articles and I am looking forward to more of the same in the future.  A moose is way up there on my wish list but there is always the money obstacle. Glad you had such a good experience!  Dan
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Great moose! I laugh when people tell me trad. gear won't kill anything big. They are missing out!
Just one more step please!

Jason, in the great UBI tradition started by Dale Humphries and Moose John River bull, you must save and bring 1" thick moose steaks and cook them at the end-of-season hunt!  Heck, I might even drive up for that meal.  Congratulations!

Yep, Jason, I was there and can still taste those wonderful steaks that Dale cooked for us.  I'm still a UBI member but haven't been able to participate much since moving to NC.  I miss my UBI buddies and the midwest. That's a real nice bull that you killed.

No kidding? Then we've shared a campfire. I joined a couple months earlier, so that was my first UBI event. The generosity and dedication of that group never ceases to amaze me.
