Digital- video or still????
« on: January 27, 2007, 05:02:00 PM »
I have used a Sony Cybershot previously in my hunting adventures. It lasted 1 year and I had to return and get a new one. It lasted 1 year. Sony will fix their cybershot cameras for $111- no matter what the problem. So I had over $350 in 2 years worth of camera- that basically I was the only one using.

My daughter had purchased an HP and it was a very nice 6.1 mp until she dropped the camera. She paid $135- alot for a 12 yr old- 2 weeks previous to her dropping it. HP will replace the camera for a mere $115. They dont fix them.

I'm looking for another camera and also buying a good video/photo program for my home PC.

My question is this: I would like to get a digital video camera. One side of me still wants to purchase a digital still. I know I can pull a still from a vid with a good program. Maybe then, it is too much to just take pics of stuff I want, and have to cut them all from the vid???

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
