I am going to purchase a new video camera. I am going to use it for family, sports and deer hunting. I am looking for something that is small and easy to pack. I am willing to spend up to $700. What do you recommend and why? thanks! Craig

this is a really nice small mini DV camera. Panasonic PV-GS500 3-CCD Mini DV
we used this camera as a back up on a recent trip to africa and it performed really well.
