Olympus Evolt E-500

I got one of these about 6-7 months ago and so am real happy with it. I have mostly shot using the auto settings, but slowly learning the manual settings....Just would like see if there are others here using this camera, and what your thoughts about it are.

Maybe you can throw some tips about it this way..Problems I am having is mostly in low light and macro...I am slowly learning macro.

I have this Camera, great bit of kit for the money. I got the 2 lens kit and have been massively impressed with the quality of the lenses for kit lenses.

definatly recommend getting stuck into the manual settings.

Low Light, if you just play with the aperture and keep it to tripod/mono pod I have had some great pics come out.

Macro, with this camera I have yet to get a good macro shot, not sure if me (same length of time with this camera and slr camera for first time)so anybody out there with some tips, would appreciate that too.

oh and forgot to say, keep heading back to the olympus site, and update your camera firmwear whenever possible, mine was out of date when I received.

Yup, my lenses were out and so was the body they are all updated.

I usualy shoot on auto or scene unless I am trying something snazzy (not to often). Here is one from this weekend at roaring river missouris

Oh yeah that was hand held at 1/13 shutter F11. I was trying to get that smokey looking water from the slow shutter. I forgot my monopod at home and ended up having to hand hold. Not to shabby for hand held at 1/13!!
