Camera with long self timer?
« on: March 20, 2012, 03:57:00 AM »
I'm in the market for a camera and want some oppinions. One thing that I always have a problem with in a hunting camera is finding a light weight digital camera with a looooong self timer. It seems the longest I can find is 30 seconds and that just doesn't cut it for a solo outdoorsman. By the time I hit the button and set up for the shot I usually end up with an akward photo of me propping up a dead critter. While I could wait to get home for pics with game I've always liked pictures taken in the field. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Dan

You might be better off with a camera that has a remote shutter release.  I'm not sure which point and shoot cameras offer that option but most (all?) DSLR's are capable.
