I'm heading there for work this week.  I don't know if I can get away but are there any archery shops I should visit?

I don't know if there are any archery shops to check out, but the "Cock of the Walk" restaurant has about the best catfish and hushpuppies I've ever had!

Bass Pro?  Its the only thing I really visited while I was there.  IIRC its part of the Opry land mall.

As far as traditional shops go, there really are none.  There's Hermitage Archery on Central Pike over in Hermitage, just East of Nashville.  Joe's a pretty good fella and, last I was there, he carried a decent number of used and new recurves and longbows.  He also has the DART system, from what I remember.  There's also Bass Pro, but it's geared more toward compounds and crossbows.  There was a really good pro shop on Nolensville Road with a nice indoor range, but it closed a while back.  The original owner retired and the person who purchased it really didn't know what he was doing.  It didn't last long after he took over.

MW,  we have a statewide trad organization here in Tn.  There is a link on tradgang for state organizations.  Look up Tennessee Traditional Archery Society.  I live in West Tenn, but we have several members in and  around Nashville.  If you put a post on their, I'm sure someone would be glad to hook you up.  Good luck.

I was stuck in meetings and then came home early.
