damon howatt questions
« on: January 09, 2008, 08:25:00 PM »
Howdy.
I am really quite new at this so if I stumble, let me apologize right up front.
I have a couple of questions concerning a Damon Howatt bow that was my dad's. My first basic question is this; is there any one out there who can tell me anything about it. I already know that it is a 35# @28" but on the side is has "Bandito by Howatt Archery". Second what string should I put on it, what brace height should I start with and any suggestions on arrows with such a light bow??
Also any suggestions on how to clean the "grime" off it with out damaging the finish?
Thanks,
Jon

Need to know the length of the bow for the string length. Rough guess on the brace hight would be 7.5" to start with. As far as cleaning a mild detergent and water would work for ya. Then a polishing with a good wood polish should make her look near new again. Hope that helps ya.
Cancer must have a crooked shootin bow cus it ain't kilt me yet.

That bow is gonna be FUN! Got any 1716 arras? They oughta work well.
