Who made it???
« on: January 09, 2008, 11:33:00 PM »
This is a bow a friend of mine owns. I have never seen the bow in person only the pics she emailed me that I'm posting here. It's been in the family for many years but no one knows who made the bow and the markings are unreadable. She contacted some family members who said they thought it might be a Ben Pearson but not for sure. It's 68" long with a leather wrap grip is about all for sure that is know. I thought someone here might be able to help identify the bow for her. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your help. I've looked in the archery archives but for some reason the pictures for the Pearson bows will not open on my computer. Anyone have an approximate age and worth. She is thinking about selling it (hopefully I have first shot) I don't want to burn or get burnt if she should decide to sell. Thanks again.

Well,I wanta guess a Pearson maybe, but maybe not lemonwood. Not to say old Ben did not use lemonwood.Cause I think every archery company ever...tried lemonwood at one time or another. But old Ben was real parshal to Hickory.....too.Rememeber thier line of static tip recurves?????? Old Hickory,By Ben Pearson.I'am thinking somewhere late 1948 ish until the mid 1950's ish.... then fiberglass backings took over..Just a thought.bowdoc
