Need some help

Hey everyone im building a drum sander for lams and what ever else i need it for lol  anyways the motor i have for it has 3 wires coming out the backend of the motor housing 1 red 1 black and 1 white its a 1/3 hp 115 volt 1723rpm  motor i need to know what wire is for what so i can hook it up to a switch thanks for any help on this

Red is hot,black is ground,white is common. I think.It's been awhile...   :rolleyes:

yes------white is always neutral, black is ground.

It's a 2 speed motor. white is common, black is high, and red should be medium. What brand of motor is it ?
