All kidding aside I hunted almost 20 days this year I saw 5 elk MAYBE in that time, It wasnt till AFTER the season I started seeing them , I think this year the culprit was weather, I was wearing a short sleeve shirt On the last day of the season.

I did not bring home an elk this year, again. But here is one or two of my favorite pics that get me fired up. They were taken by a good friend, Bill (BB)

If I hadn't missed you would have seen a pic of me and a 4point. We saw lots of elk, too. In the vicinity of Dillard's Mesa  ;)  , Unit 62, Colorado.

Great photos of big bulls in the wallow!

I took a 6x6 in New Mexico and a 6x6 in Montana.  They both came like they were on a string to a cow call.  I don't know how to post photos and don't want to become anymore techincal that I already am, or I would add them on here.

I'm already thinking elk as well. Last week at work we had to put in for our 2008 vacation times. I now have two weeks off in mid-September. Still have to decide whether I'm going to hunt out of state or near home, though.

I start thinking about next yearts elk hunt on the long ride home from this years hunt! This year with 9 pp I should draw for a limited tag so I've already made plans if that happens   I'm off for the whole month to elk hunt. Yyyyeeeeeeee-hhhhaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!! By the way, I'd have pics to share with you but I missed a 6x6 this year. Tough year I was hunting alone with two ribs broken the day before I left for the hunt!  :knothead:     R.B.

Great photos guy`s.

I`ve seen the elk we have here in Michigan, but never hunted them. You can never truely know an animal until you hunt them. Someday.

Ragin Bull... A whole month dedicated to chasing elk! Good for you. Also, hunting with broken ribs this year might mean good mojo for next year. Broken ribs only hurt when you move, hold still, walk, sit, sleep, think, and sneezing is a special treat. Gotta give you thumbs up for still going.
