I went up to testify yesterday but never had to. If anyone here ever questions the power of e-mailing their reps and senators you should have been there. The chairman opened the bill with the comment "we all know about this bill" The Minnesota Bowhunters, inc had flooded the commitee with emails and killed it with only minimal testifying necessary. Even after the bill's author amended it to crossbows in firearms only season it was voted down ovewhelmingly. Thanks to all who emailed. We still have to vigilent because it might get brought up again in the senate.

Bad news! The bill got amended again and re-introduced the next day. No pulic hearing is necessary for amendments. It is now in HF 1116 the omnibus bill. The next place it might show up is in the senate Enviromental and Natural Resources Committee. Please email the following people and tell them you oppose crossbow hunting except for the handicapped.

Keep at 'em.  Educate your legisaltors about the issue.  Tugging at heart strings and an emotional offense will not prove to be effective.  The truth and factual data will be an asset when making your case.  Don't give up.

We are going to have to keep the pressure on forever. The sportsman of this state have turned into a bunch of lazy whinners. They want to shot a limit every time they step into the field. And speaking of stepping I should have said step off there ATV. The term "sportsman" really doesn't fit. It should be "Instant gratifacation cry baby".
