this was just posted on a predator hunting site that I belong to by someone, it may not be about trad archery, but its about hunters and dogs and what these animal rights types will do
"I used to own some American Bulldogs, many of which are bred to hunt and catch wild boar.
There is a very popular forum on the internet dedicated to performance-bred American Bulldogs.
One day a new guy joined the forum portraying himself to be a sportsman looking for quality bloodlines to pursue hog-hunting with, wanting to know who all did it and had the blood, and such and such and so on.
Well after awhile his questions were getting pretty weird, and he would attempt to stir-up division amongst the forum. He was also no longer sounding like a guy that was looking to hunt hogs with catch-dogs.
After a few months of this someone with the computer know-how/ability decided to find out just whose the heck this troll was.
The troll was none other than John Goodwin, HSUS Animal Fighting Deputy Director. He considers hunting with catch-dogs and hounds alike to be "animal fighting", too.
When he was found out and called on it, he came right out on the forum and admitted that he was indeed HSUS'John Goodwin. The administration elected to allow him to remain on the board, just so we could keep him right where we could see him, and debate the issues with him.
At first he was stating that he was not against hunting hogs with catch-dogs, but the catch-dog competitions that were being held to test the hunting metal of the catchdogs. (well we all know that's a lie, and he wound-up proving it). This was a tactic he used to create division amongst performance bred dog enthusiasts, and sure enough a useful idiot or two popped-up in the discussion.
The HSUS doesn't believe that a dog should work, or do anything for humans. They want to do away with working dogs period.
He eventually went forth with pressing charges on registered forum members, making use of the "useful idiots" he had found on the forum, and made attempts to use conversations from the internet forum in court.
I believe HSUS, lead by John Goodwin, took one family to court, and failed to get a conviction two or three times, in different states, no less, breaking the family from legal fees, before finally finding a judge to convict the family. Pretty extreme, relentless people, don't you think?
If ANY of you don't think that the high-ranking HSUS and PETA types are not on this board EVERY DAY then you need to understand that these people are being paid to surf the net and do stuff like that.
As this sight is obviously extremely popular for predator and varmint hunting, and the HSUS despises those activities and actively works against them, it only stands to reason that they are here. They will use their standard tactics that have proven to work for them in the past."
these PETA types make me sick, lets just hope nothing like this happens on our site
