New Baby

Well maybe not exactly what you were thinking. I just wanted to tell everyone I finally found what i was huntin.  :bigsmyl:    :bigsmyl:   An early Dan Quillian Patriot 62 inches 56# @ 28 inches. I got it home went into the backyard and the very first arrow from 10 yards went dead center of the bullseye. The first traditional shot in 10 years and it went right where it was supposed to go. Naturally it went downhill from there but it was still great.
Now my next problem was that the guy before me put camo tape all over the riser and when I pulled it off it left a sticky adhesive residue. How do I get this off without hurting the finish. It also has one of the ugliest camo paint jos on the limbs that has to go or get covered up. Oh well I got to go I got to go shoot some more before it gets dark.  :archer:

Scott,
WD40 and some rags will get the tape residue off your bow.

Glad you got it...now you need to make plans to be at the LTB North vs. South in March and the Sterling Harrell in April.

There is a product called "Goo Gone" that removes sticky residue.  I have no idea how it will effect your finish.  It's just a possible solution you may want to pursue.  Perhaps a better answer will come from another member. In any case, I wish you good luck with your new found bow.

The first thing I thought when I saw this was Longbow or Recurve(boy/girl).

I guess it is a girl cause it is a recurve and it sure does shoot good. I havent shot one in about 10 years now but it seems to be coming back quicker than I thought it would.

I always have a bottle of "Goo Gone" around the house. It cleans up a bow real nice and hasn't affected the finish on any of mine.

The product web site lists Lowe's, Home Depot and Ace Hardware as dealers.

Thanks Mike the WD40 worked great it even takes off the paint job if you have enough time and enough elbow grease. That will have to wait till another day I got to get it ready to shoot now that my hands dont stick to it.

Well thanks to Mike Byrge and a lots of other folks on here I have my new bow shooting like a dream. I got some CX heritage 150's and got it tuned up and it is shooting great. I got the goo off the riser now if I can just get that funky camo job off of the limbs I will be in hog heaven I may just have to cover it up. Thanks again to all who have helped.
