Sunday Bow Hunting Under Attack! (A1669, S802)
Sunday Bow Hunting Bill Under Attack!
From NJOUTDOORALLIANCE.ORG
UPDATE!
They are out to make sure that we lose. They know how the system works. They think we don't deserve it. They're repulsed by the fact that we think we can ask for it.
They're not telling people the whole story.
It's more than an issue of principle - it's an effort to keep us in our place. We've been pressed under their thumb for so long that they're willing now to even show that they can snap our scrawny necks.
They know that if we win this one more will follow and they will lose control over us.
Sierra Club, HSUS, NJNYTC have made this the hill they will die on... have you?
Assembly Bill A1669 (Senate Bill S802) Authorizes deer hunting with bow and arrow on Sundays.
It has come to our attention that the animal rights forces are pounding Trenton with phone calls to derail the Sunday Bow hunting bill A1669. If the animal rights activists stay true to their history many (if not most) of the calls are coming in from places other than New Jersey.
I am also hearing that our legislators are NOT hearing from the outdoor community.
It is important that we act immediately.
1. Please call the following assemblypersons immediately to request that they HEAR the bill and VOTE in FAVOR of bill A1669 (Sunday Bow Hunting.) These assemblypersons are on the committee charged with hearing/voting on the bill FIRST. Please contact them immediately.
Fisher, Douglas Chair (856) 455-1011 (Bridgeton),
Albano, Nelson - Vice-Chair (609) 465-0700 (Cape May Court House)
Amodeo, John F. (609) 677-8266
Conaway, Herb (856) 461-3997
Karrow, Marcia A. (908) 782-5127
2. Go to the following link and find YOUR individual assemblypersons. Call each of them and ask that they vote in FAVOR of bill A1669 - Sunday Bow Hunting.
http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/members/legsearch.asp Our success in having these bills passed is in our control if we make the calls and voice our wishes. Outdoorsmen/women far outnumber the antis. Let's make sure that our legislators understand this fact. Remind your legislator 67% of the people in New Jersey SUPPORT hunting. Remind your legislators that there are over 650,000 anglers, hunter and trappers in NJ - and we VOTE.
