hunters star

I was watching a tv show a couple of weeks ago and they showed a guy making custom rifles and on the stock of one he had what he called a hunters star. He said it was a good luck symbol for hunters. Has anyone heard of this before? or any other similar symbols? I thought it was a cool symbol and thought about having it as a tatoo.

Check out some custom made flintlock rifles, there are all kinds of symbols on them. Even better is to check out pictures of original rifles made in Pennsylvainia during the 1700's. Sorry I don't have any links.

I have Found an Outlet for "St.Sebastion" Patron Saint of Archery, and Sports. (Thank You Vermonster!!)and I intend on Inlaying the Bows I make with The Pendent. Now To Get One a Bow.
I had it all figured out How I could Do 100% of a Dryand Blank.....then my daughter came back home,Pregnant, dont want to stir up the SawDust, and NO Chemicals around her.
Back to the Drawing Board!! Its kinda fun, because when she Delivers, I will have 2 Grand-Daughters to Train. hahaha

Bill----------you are a world class wiseass!
Honestly here. The star is representative of the Holy Feminine. The compass rose represents this, as does any representation of a rose-----including the pentagram(pentacle). This would be a very strong charm for a bow, and a strong one for your tattoo.
