Fred Bear Knife set ??

Was that knife set actually available back then? I know that the same model Puma knife is still available, on the Web.

Good luck finding an original.  A couple of times over the past years one has shown up on the big auction site, and brought big dollars.  Your best bet is to contact some of the serious Bear collectors.  You might also post this on the Trad History/Collecting forum.

Actually the price has come down a lot over the last 10 years.. 7 or 8 years ago you were looking at four figures if you could find one.. Now I see them going for the 3-4 hundred dollar range.. If that isn't in your budget, you can always hope to win the lottery or find one on a yard sale or estate sale.. As to where to find one.. I would post in the classifieds here at else where WTB  I do have a Bear "Western" Quiver with a knife and file that is available for less than that.
