finished my first knife
« on: February 07, 2008, 05:56:00 PM »
I finished my first knife Sunday and finished the sheath yesterday. I couldn't pe prouder! It's made from an old 12" saw blade. I sketched it out and then drew it on the saw blade. I cut it out with a dremal tool, then I clamped it down and hand filed the bevalls. I then sanded it smooth with a sanding disk on my drill. I bufed it with apollishing wheel on the drill. It has wallnut scales. If someone would post pics of it I would try to send them.

Great job - especially for a first attempt. ( pics are too large though, need to be downsized to max. 600 wide or they'll have to delete them - sorry, please don't shoot the messenger   :) )

John, the knife looks great and am sure your father in law will appreciate it.  Sorry to hear about the cancer.  Prayers are sent from Missouri.
