Finished a skinner

This was supposed to be a bigger skinner and WIDE! but she cracked alittle when I quenched her. so I reworked it and this is what I ended up with.<><

Didja heat the oil Frank? Kind of slows down the shock effect of the quench. Nice job none the less.

Yep always do. I thnk because maybe the blade is 1/4' thick I should have left it in the oil a tad longer before dipping into the water.<><

Very nice Frank, i love the one styled like it, i got from you a ways back. My favorite skinning knife.

They are Bocote. I wish it would have not cracked. I am going to make another one like this one was suppose to belike.<><
