TX Sweat Skinner
« on: February 14, 2008, 04:58:00 PM »
I'm not sure how much I like this skinner design so I just put a temporary para-cord wrap handle on her.  We'll let the TX Sweaters give an opinion before dressing her up with a nice handle.  Hopefully there will be some hogs & javies down next week to give her a workout  :D   Doc

Doc,

I think that'd look great with a smooth bone handle.  I like the blade shape a lot.  If you find you don't like it, just ship it my way.  :bigsmyl:

Janine,
Welcome...Glad you figured out the site!

That knife preformed pretty well on field dressing & skinning "hunt it's" big old Russian Boar.  I cut the smelly para-cord off so I could re-handle it in either a nice piece of weathered bone that Shaun found for me or Charlie gave me some leftover pieces from one of his Sun Bear recurves.  Then it heads to ST Judes Auction.  Course if you buy it I could always that the nice handle off and re-wrap with para-cord   :bigsmyl:  Doc
