Hawk knife!!!
« on: February 29, 2008, 07:15:00 PM »
I traded Rick Dumas a recurve for a knife that he would make me.  I gave him very little info to go on, as I like to let artists do their thing.

I just saw the pictures of the knife:

The knifemaker takes 3 bars of different damascus welds them together for a different pattern effect.

I am very happy with the way it came out!

Oops, Rick is good friends with John and Wei Lonewolf.  John did the blade, Wei did the scrimshaw.  The design was Ricks.  I had no idea what I would get when I made the deal.  I just asked Rick to "make it a fair trade".  Until I saw the pictures last night, I still had no idea what it would look like.

Thanks for the kind words, John, Rick and Wei all seem to know what they are doing

Mr. Vic, I'm working my way up to 366...one for every day.    :biglaugh:

That way I only have to get out the sharpener once every 10- 20 years
