Good book or online instructional on knife building?
« on: March 09, 2008, 03:30:00 PM »
I am enjoying the pics of the beautiful knives being built here and would love to give it a try but don't have a clue where to start. I'm thinking a blade kit and shape my own handle. Thanks Jason.

Try this link, it's a pretty decent page showing the process doing it cheaply.

A great way to start is by buying knife blanks and installing handles. Dyrad bows a sponsor here sells Helle blades and it's a great blade for  that.

You can get your feet wet that way and see if you like it but honestly it doesn't take that much to get setup to making the knifes and like building bows it's habit forming.
Most people get rich by making more money than they have needs, me, I just reduced my needs!
