Found this knife & sheath making video on line and thought it pretty dang interesting. Thought some here might enjoy watching it also.

Very nice. I make nearly all of my knives of hidden tang construction, but dont ever solder a tang on that close to the ricasso. In fact, most are solid tang. Still, very nice video.

The ricasso is the area of the blade immediately in front of the guard, where the name or brand is stamped. Sorry  :) .

I would not want to rely on solder at such a critical area. Silver solder is good stuff though. I'm sure he knows what he's doing.
