A few recently finished
« on: May 06, 2008, 09:33:00 AM »
Here are a few recently finished knives, they are all CPM154 blades.  Currently working with damascus and D2 carbon steel as well.
Next knife will be for the TradGang swap!
Dan

Cocobolo handled 3" droppoint.

This was a knife for a scout, green canvas micarta with red liners...scout colors.  :D

Just finished last night, a 5" pig sticker with ebony handles.  A great feeling knife in the hand.

The "jeweling" looks great!!  The knives would be great w/o the jeweling--icing on the cake. L

Thanks guys.
Ray, the other side of the scout knife is green too.  :D
Rooster, just get a jeweling tool from Jantz or Midway USA, chuck in your drill press, and start jeweling.  It'll take you about 2 minutes to figure it out.
Leftie, I send the 154 off for heat treating but I believe it is as easy as it gets, air quenched.  The jeweling, I added it because I thought they needed it.  But most of my knives don't have it, just depends on my mood or what is requested.

Would have loved to have one of those back in my scouting days!! Too bad straight blades( non folding) were against the rules. Skippy
