Basically a Scandi, short for Scandinavian, grind, is a very short flat grind. It generally runs 1/4 to 1/3rd of the way from the edge to the spine. It's a very hardwearing, easy to sharpen grind that takes very little maintainence. Far stronger than either a full flat or hollow (YUK!) grind.
