Flying Hunting Knives
« on: July 22, 2008, 03:53:00 PM »
I'm looking for some tec advice on flying hunting knives .A good friend is into the Buckskinner competions and part of what they do is make hunting knives fly through the air and stick into a target. He asked if I could make him a knife for this. The knife has to be period (1800's) style. Have any of you made any of these flying hunting knives? What I need to know is where to set the point of balace.
Eat, drink, and be merry...

Ron LaClaire would be the man to ask about period throwing competitions. He's won more than a few & has a good selection ofblades designed for the purpose.
