Ally & leather hunter
« on: July 30, 2008, 12:39:00 PM »
Just a little something I made for myself.
I've had the blade knocking around for ages (I think it's a Polar) wondering what to do with it.

OAL is just over 7", blade is 2-3/4"

Polished ally bolsters, stacked leather centre.

I had to modify the blade slightly, by slotting the end of the tang & welding in a stainless 4mm bolt, so I could tighten everything down. I've recessed the end of the rear bolster to accommodate the stainless nut & polished off the excess thread & exposed nut, to match the curved profile.

Just got a sheath to do, probably nextweek now
Sorry for the photo quality, but this is soooo shiny, it's a swine to photo!  :D
