Winkler retired!
« on: August 21, 2008, 04:07:00 PM »
Sorry to post another one but I just love this flared finger grove.  Just a great positive grip on the flared sides.  I'd been trying to figure out my old Dan Winkler knife for several years.  Now (thanks to Karl) I can put it to rest as it has dressed more than it's share of deer.

My new kid on the block for the fall...7 1/2 inches AOL 1080, hollow ground, handle to be determine as I can't seem to put it down long enough to finish   :)    tippit

Until you hold it, you can't really appreciate the grip of the flare on your finger...tippit

Move over there Stic, make room for the other biggest fan!!

Doc, I've seen pretty much all your knives and gotten to fondle most of em, this is your best yet! That one deserves the most special kind of handle material. Can't wait to see what you come up with!!

Very Nice! I will test it out for you in a couple of weeks if you will send it my way.  :)

Nice feature Jeff. She looks like she would be a natural fit and be real comfortable in the hand. Put that there Bass Ale top popper on her and she would be just about perfect...

Good stuff!
