installing eyelets in leather
« on: September 17, 2008, 03:08:00 AM »
Hello,

I just got some 3/16" eyelets from Jantz. I thought they would be a 2 piece thing that fit together. I was wrong. Can someone please tell me how I can install these?

Thanks

you can buy the tool at just about any cloth store or punch a 3/16 hole in your leather, insert eyelet, place the eyelet on a hardwood surface, and peen over with the rounded end of a small ballpeen hammer.  i use two hammers for a neater look.
