I'm looking for plans for a propane forge or where to get the materials. I saw plans using a 5 gallon paint can w/ fire insulation inside. Where can I get that type of insulation?

You can get most stuff from
http://refractory.elliscustomknifeworks.com/
This the type of forge you were thinking about?
http://www.zoellerforge.com/simplegasforge.html
There's more info on that site, so look around for some different ideas

If you can go vertical, this forge is almost impossible to beat!
