Sons Xmas present
« on: December 27, 2008, 07:44:00 PM »
I'm not near as good as y'all here but this is something I put together for my 13yr old for Xmas. The blade is something I picked up years ago and the handle is spalted maple burl. The guard is brass that I just cut into the shape I wanted.
Its not something for heavy use, just something to cut with and he said he loves it.
I'm working on an old file now to try and see if I can get the hang of stock removal and HT and Tempering. Someday I hope to be half as good as y'all.
BTW: I got a digital camera for Xmas so I'll be posting more pics now.

Since I got a camera, here's a some pals that I like to have with me. MG in 45LC, Koyote knife and Abby the Weim!

Here's my old standby Roach Belly accompanied with my new Koyote knife:

Sorry for all the pics....I love my new camera!!!

The knife looks great! Glad to see someone also has a "Meathead". Ours is named Rosey.

Thanks for the comments.
I call my Meathead...Abby, kinda funny we use the same word.
Weims are a little nuts and I honestly think that THEY think they're human.
