4 knives done
« on: January 02, 2009, 11:09:00 PM »
These are four knives that I made as X-mas presents. Blades are made of 01 and the handles are ebony with brass pins. I just wanted to show them to everyone. Comments and criticism welcome. Thanks, Jason

Jason, You need to down size your picture to 640 pix wide and re-post them.  Thanks...tippit

Well, since you asked for criticism, straight on lighting rarely works out well for knife pictures.  If you have a couple of lamps you can light from two sides and turn off the flash, it will help keep the reflections down.
If you really want to go super high-tech studio lighting, you can make a light tent out of an old white T-shirt and some kind of frame out of cardboard or small PVC pipe.  Lots of tutorials online about making DIY light tents.

Really like the knives though, very nice work!

Thanks guys for checking them out. Rooster these are my first real knives, I made one other knife but it didn't work out. I'm still learning but I'm hooked. I was thinking about doing the knife swap,  but I'm not sure my knives are good enough? Jason
