Ian's new Necker
« on: January 10, 2009, 04:56:00 AM »
Here's one that I've been askedto post by Ian Jonnson.
He ordered a Necker, but also wanted a firesteel attatching to the sheath. He also asked for a full flat grind.
I was able to do the ferro rod, but the full flat grind left the tip too fragile for my liking so, on the second attempt I came up with this for him....

OAL is 5-1/2" with a 2-1/2" cutting edge. The handle material is some very old, very hard Olivewood fixed with 2 brass pins.
