« on: January 20, 2009, 11:13:00 AM »
Well here is My first attempt at a brass finger guard as well as first try at liners She  is a very long way from what I wanted! That patience thing kicks my butt! Blade is a little warped from a drop to the bottom of the forge during heat treat! Missed one hole in handle! all and all shes DOUBLE purdie! purdie messed up purdie apt to stay that way!   :banghead:   I learned a lot and that is the main goal. 11" oal 6" blade from plow disc. Constructive critisim is always welcome!

Making guards can be a pain! Patience is the key for me. I know that when I get in a hurry is when I make the mistakes! Just keep trying! The hardest part for me is trying to get everything even on both sides! LOL!

Guards are a blast aren't they?  I have found that hidden tang knives are more guard friendly.
Those are some righteous looking knives that bro....Keep it up.
