Yup, I almost forgot, the Ballistyk was a smoker, probably the fastest I have shot. Shawn

The reality is that there are lots of "fast" bows...but as said above, "fast" may be relative.

It seems that the only halfway level playing field in this arena are Norb Mullaney's tests....but alas, they are proprietary property of the bowyer and if he doesn't like what Norb finds, they don't get published (at least that's my understanding of the process with Norb)...additionally, his work is too few and too far between...and he tests all kinds of different weight bows, so you are stuck trying to extrapolate numbers for your target weight or even to compare them to another Norb test.

So, finally, any of the "shooter tested" bows guys spoke about above are no doubt in the speedy top 10 of traditional curves....now you'll just have to shoot some to see which one(s) feels right to you.

Get out the checkbook!   :knothead:

Sovereign Trident and Ballistic are the fastest I have shot.  And one of the smoothest.
Life is short.  Shoot the good arrows first.

Why doesn't someone set-up at the Expo's and Redevous' with a bow scale, arrow scale, and a chronograph so we could test all these bows ourselves and report the results? Seems like $5 a test would be reasonble.

The results from the past several weeks shooting our techno hunt.
1-adcock acs @57#'s at 28" not positive of larrys draw length but guessing at 28" 424 gr arrow (if I remember correctly) averge 195 fps

2-Robertson 3 pc 45lbs at 28 shooters draw 29 524 gr arrows @155fps

3-my Hoyt Gamemaster 50# @28" true draw lenght most of the time! 29.5" 524 grain arrows @175fps

4-my Blacktail Elite 1pc 50#@28" 524 gr arrows @185fps

I'll take my Blacktail for looks and speed but most of all quite.
