Well I posted this blade earlier in paracord...but I must be getting a little nervous about my first hammer-in with Joe Keeslar. I seem to be like an expectant mother doing a lot of nesting
Even though the forged is cold, I've been adding handles like mad to a bunch of my unfinished blades. I think I'm fearing that once I see a master at work, I'm going to come home and throw all my unfinished blades in the trash!
That brings us back to the Texas Pig Gig...Rabbitman & his buddy Dennis gave me an old bleached out whitetail shed that they picked up. Paracord is my favorite handle for my working hunting knives but it does lack some of the beauty of horn & fine wood...maybe
So in my nesting this weekend I finished up
1) Ted's B'day gift.
2) A neck knife for Bob Walker's son Bobby. Bob & I made a trade at Pig Gig for a set of stic's antler limb bolts...even though I already have 3 pair! Can't have too many of stic's bolts and a young man should have at least one knife made especially for him
3) Plus the Pig Gig Sticker.
Right hand slabbed whitetail antler crown with finger groves for first & second finger, 5160 hollow ground, 10 inches OAL
