Heres where the large camp/skinner blade rests now. My first go at bolsters, I think I did ok. I still have all my fingers and both eyes too!
Polishing is getting to me. Three hours and still have scratches in the blade. I'm working with used and scrap sandpaper. For some odd reason EVERYONE was out of stock on Friday when I tried to buy some. Thats how it goes sometimes.
A pretty little caper design will accompany this blade.
Both will be going to the benefit if the Higgs family. Wife and mother Cindy has been fighting cancer. Chemo finally rid of it, and she was doing well, until an irregular heartbeat diagnosed other problems with her heart, and she had to go in for open heart surgery.
Daughter of Cindy and Paul, Tara Higgs was in a car accident two weeks ago and was banged up pretty badly, broken ankle, badly bruised and a concussion. With all thats been going on the medical bills have hit them hard. So I will be doing my part at a local shoot to raise some money for them. Hopefully all goes well.
Enough rambling, I apologize for the terrible picture.
Will try and take a few better soon.
