Stag and 1084 Big Country
« on: June 06, 2009, 08:07:00 PM »
This is a knife I made for a guy who liked my small utility but who is about 6'7".

So I scaled up the design and split a massive stag roll for a handle. It fills the hand!

Blade is about 4.5 inches tip to scales, 3/16" spine, distally tapered, 1.5" wide. Overall length is 8.75"

I was in the zone today, and finished quite a few knives, but this is the nicest!

thanks guys, for the replies.

Larry the smaller ones I usually forge to about 1/8" thick at the spine, 3 to 3.5" blade, and about7 to 7.5" overall length.

I originally designed my small utility to be a kn ife a guy would carry instead of a folder; small enough to be convenient to carry, but with a blade that can handle many tasks.

here is the very first one I made of that model:

Most guys that have bought these come from a military background, but it is a very useful little hunter as well.
