Tippit knock offs
« on: July 25, 2009, 04:02:00 PM »
OK well everyone knows how Tippit did a knock off of a Doug Campbell( but really who has not  ;)  ). Well when I was with Whip last weekend we were looking over our Tippit knives(we have the very old ones  :saywhat:      ) and we were saying how well the lay in hand and just feel awesome. And knowing Tippit don't make these anymore I thought I might give it a try. After all SteveO is crying his eyes out begging for a tippit knife  :wavey:  .thanks Doc for all ya do and the knives.<><

Stic: Consider your Tippit copy, copied! I LIKE em. That handle looks like it'll feel great in the hand.

Great job bud.

Stic, your knives keep getting better and I gotten three in the past one was given to my brother and one to a buddy who built a bow for me, still got a neck knife. But, since you been forging I think I need another. Keep up the great work.

Your way to modest Doc. All your knives are awesome. Mine are just wanna be tippits. Three knife makers I admire and aspire to get close to there talent are D.Campbell and Doc Tippit and Mr.Lippert. May never get there but sure am having fun trying.<><

No moose steaks this year Jeff, weather was warm and moose did not co operate. You were missed for sure as well. Just was not the same without ya! The weather really sucked and it put damper on any campfire activity. We spent every night in cabin as it was raining all the time. If you had to miss a year this was a good one to miss. Hope to see you there next summer! Any chance you will make the Sweat Hunt - still room for any Sweat Vets to come, love to have you there.
