i recently built a small gas forge and have been playing with forging blades to shape
i forged his nicholson file to about 50% and had to do a lot less stock removal
9.25 o.a.l and 5.25 blade

Nice lookin' knife Kevin. It looks just like what I was drawing out on a File the other day for myself. I only hope mine looks half that good! I've been wanting to buils a gas forge myself, was it hard to do?
