Trade handle material?
« on: August 25, 2009, 07:10:00 AM »
Hey, guys, I've got an upcoming knife order for a fellow on this forum who wants a Kingwood handle to match his riser material.
Seems like where ever I go I need to buy a much larger quantity than I need.
Anybody got a chunk?
I'd be happy to trade a piece of something I've got, which is a pretty extensive list.
Hope you can help.

When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Karl,if this request does not yield results try some custom bowyers they usually have some scraps.  I got a box full of exotic and domestic from Brandon Stahl of Rose Oak Bows some time ago, he is a sponser here.

Hope this helps     Steve

I posted a request in the bowyer's section and have had some good backup.
No success yet, though.

Why don't you just cut a horn off one of those cows?

What would you attempt to do, if you knew you could not fail?
