Jeremy,

I got the box in the mail today.  I will be getting started on the knives this weekend.  I plan to forge out 2 or three knives out of the spring pieces you sent me.

Jeremy,

I got my package and my new forge from Ellis Knifeworks.  Pig Gig is calling so hopefully after that and getting the forge up & runnin' I'll be able to come up with something.  Thanks...Doc

Here's my effort in the works...  :readit:

10" OAL, camp/ bowie/skinner style.  :D   Flat ground with some pretty filework. Cant get decent pictures of it though.

Got some nice ideas flowing in my head for the scales as well.

Anyone else started?   :campfire:

That's really cool so far.  I love the shape of that blade.

I have drawn three seperate knives on the steel and may adjust their sizes a bit.  I am thinking of making two small skinners and a push knife.   I have the steel annealed and have to find time to bandsaw the basic billet into three pieces and then I can start the forging process.

Chris, did I send you some?

With the new baby (and lack of sleep) I'm a bit fuzzy on details!

Hey Jeremy, this is a sweet idea. Is it too late to join the fun. being a stay home dad I know how much work a new baby can be so if you don't have the time or the energy not a problem.

Tony, I'll cut some more up this weekend (my folks are up, which means a little free time).  PM or email me your address.

I've heard/seen the beginnings of one (2?) knives and silence from the rest.

I haven't been in the knife shop in months either!

Just wondering. Love seeing the homemade stuff. While I think the forged knives are beautiful and deffinately a work of art, I love to see what the average joe with a grinder, dremel, and a belt sander with some old clothes hanger and a piece of walnut or cherry board can make from whatever he finds laying around.
