Handle stamp

Hey guys
I need some advise on how to put a RFR in the middle of a dimond in the handle. i have never done silver inlay work and need to get these knives done by jan 9th, if there is other anyway to do please let me know

Burn it with hot steel or make a template and torch it? Mayeb do some kind of emblem or lettering under the finish?

thanks guys
i spent about 1 1/2 hr. last night trying to make a stamp out of a piece of brass (because it was softer) then i realized i had make backwards, may try the coat hanger

Maybe not what you are looking for, but what is you bought an inlay (designed for a muzzleloading rifle), an oval shaped piece of metal.  Have it engraved by a trophy shop.  Then enlay that, it's easier than getting set up to inlay wire.  Just a thought.  Dan

Or maybe have the blade laser etched. or the handle engraved like dan said.

you could also do it with an exacto to cut the edges of the letters into the knife wood... then take a dremel cutting ball tool and work the material out inside the letter edge cuts you made.

Sand if you like after- or you could make the inside like a flint knapped head with little scoop cuts. Just sand everything afterward to make it have no sharp edges.
