Wood Burning
« on: January 22, 2010, 08:26:00 PM »
Hey all:

Iknow a while back I asked about electro chemical etching as a means to mark blades with a "makers Mark". Someone posted a do it yourself etching machine which I made and have yet to try out for lack of free time.

My question to you now is:

Has anyone made or seen plans to make a wood burning unit as seen in the link posted below?

Thanks for any help.

I have one of those units as my father was a decoy carver.  You can get any assortment of tips for detailing.  I've done a few decoys, though nothing like he used to do.  I have thought about doing a handle in scrimshaw like wood burning...tippit

why don't you talk to Wildlife Artistry? He's the woodburner expert on TG and I would say if anyone has plans for that it might be him, eh?
