Can anyone recomend someone who can heat treat stainless 440 C..I've had 5 blades at a local business for more than 2 months & dont have them yet.

Check this out:

It sounds like you heat it to 1850-1950 deg F for 30-45 minutes and let it air cool for, then heat it to 300 deg F for 1 hour to get it to 60 RC.
Sounds like a straightforward process.

Send them to Texas Knifemaker's Supply....www.texasknife.com. It should only take a week or two for them to have your blades back to you.
